Streetwise Drift ProAM #1

Charlotte Motor Speedway. I was anticipating this event for weeks and praying like hell for good weather. And for the most part, I got what I was hoping for. I did get a soaked from one of the few random rain showers we encountered over the course of the day. But, I am pretty pleased with the shots from the day. Props to all the ProAM and Amateur competition drivers, you guys were all awesome.

2009 Event Highlights

I would like to extend my thanks to everyone who has given me their support in 2009. I really couldn't do this without all of you. I'd like to share some of my favorite highlights from the 2009 season. I took a lot of pictures this year. :-)

It was very hard to pick these out from the bunch.

Streetwise Drift: Season Opener @ Metrolina Expo

What a great way to begin the 2010 Drifting season. I really enjoyed that this event was practice only.

One of our sponsored drivers, Hayden Horton also debuted his new 2010 sponorship by Autosport Dynamics. For those of you not familiar with Autosport Dynamics, they're the fine folks behind some of your favorite Team Falken cars. We're excited to see where Hayden's driving will take him this season!

Streetwise Drift Invades Lowe's Motor Speedway

Despite how insanely cold and rainy this event was, it definitely provided a good turnout and a good weekend of shooting.

If you thought GT Live was awesome, you should've been at Octoberfest...

Okay. So anyone who has had at least at few conversations with me on the subject of racing, has probably heard me talk about how much I love Virginia International Raceway. Out of all of the tracks I've been to thus far, it has remained my favorite. It's just a beautiful facility. And every year, I look forward to attending GT Live at VIR. Having such a wide range of subjects to photograph all in one place is invigorating.

However, this year, despite the change of event name, it was still just as satisfying as in previous years. Although I have to admit, one of my favorite parts of this annual event is the camaraderie. I really enjoy getting to interact with new people, and the place to do it isn't necessarily at the track. It's the post-race day, evening activities that make it even more of a notable event in my opinion.

Case in point: Drunken karaoke, at Hams, with several people I'd never meet previous to this event, who I'm pretty sure are some of the coolest people I know. I sang. We all sang. I don't think anyone has ever made a karaoke version of a Bon Jovi song sound so badass. Ha. A big thanks to all the Drift Indy folks...you guys are hilarious.

This kind of stuff is one of the reasons I love Drifting so much. There's still an endearing and green quality about it as well as the people involved in it.

Regardless of all the drunken shenanigans, it was a great event weekend. Some of my favorite shots of the year were taken this past weekend.

Drivers, feel free to save your shots and upload wherever you'd like. But don't crop out the Slammed Graphics logo...your support is always appreciated.

Another great Drift event...

Another successful Streetwise Drift event at Metrolina Expo yesterday. It's always nice being at events where there's lots of familiar faces. I find it more enjoyable when I'm shooting people I know, because I know the work is all the more appreciated. Makes my job easy.

I'm still in the process of editing all these shots. But here's a few teasers.

As always feel free to inquire about prints or about larger copies of your shots. I aim to please! So if you'd like a larger copy, a desktop background...anything...do let me know.
-SG

Some shots are just meant to be B&W.
Driver: Hayden Horton

Formula D driver Darren McNamara made it out to the event Saturday,
along with some of the other Team Falken drivers, to do some testing.

Common F&Q

I get a lot of the same questions regarding my policies and methods for projects, so I decided to post here some valuable information so that you can know what to expect as a client.

What payment options do you offer?

Currently we accept Paypal, checks, and of course cash.

Do you require a deposit prior to the beginning of each project?
Slammed Graphics does require a deposit be paid before any project is begun. This deposit is not a flat rate and is determined based upon the total project estimate. Your deposit also serves as a cancellation fee (also known as a "kill fee") in the event that you choose to cancel your project order.

Why is a cancellation fee (or "kill fee") required?
We require a cancellation fee to cover any amount of work that was done prior to the decision for cancellation. The fee also covers any other tangible expenses incurred prior to the cancellation.

What if I make an order for your services, but choose to cancel after they've already begun?
We understand that unforeseen events may cause you the need to cancel your service order, this is why your project deposit serves as a cancellation fee. If you choose to cancel your service order, Slammed Graphics will retain all completed work in connection with the project (ex: Original artwork, etc.) and use of work done in connection with a cancelled project without the consent of Slammed Graphics could result in additional fees or legal action.
